CESEE Region: Booming Exports Prevent Recession

The underlying reason for the improving economic sentiment in the CESEE region is the expanding industrial sector. However, the region remains vulnerable to foreign trade and foreign investments.

Economic growth in the CESEE region is still mainly driven by net exports. In the last quarter of 2013 and in 2014, economic growth is expected to accelerate. Since 2008, the average GDP growth only amounts to 0.5% in the CESEE region.
