Czech Republic: Consumer Loans Weaken

The Czech loan growth is mainly driven by housing loans. The overal loan structure is improving, the NPL level remains flat.

The Czech banking sector records a moderate growth in lending. This year, lending is expected to increase by 4%. Above all, the loan structure improves. The portfolio of mortgage loans is growing while the volume of consumer loans is shrinking. Deposits are expected to expand by 4.8%.
