Czech Republic: Deposits Grow Substantially

At the end of September, client deposits at Czech banks reached CZK 3,100bn. Compared to September 2011, this is an increase by 8.3%.

Despite the historically low interest rate, deposits were up substantialy. Non-time deposits make up 57% of all deposits. Besides that, loans grew by 4%. These date ware published by the Czech Banking Association (CBA). In total, the Czech banking sector has enough liquidity, CBA stated. This would be a clear proof of the client´s trust in Czech banks.
