Alexei Ulyukayev, deputy Govenor of the Central Bank up to now, has been appointed Economy Minister, as announced by an official statement by the Kremlin.
Ulyukayev follows Andrei Bellussov, who was nominated highest economic policy advisor to Putin. 54-year-old Bellussov was among the supporters for more state intervention in the economy.
