Poland takes back the partial privatization of pension system. The re-nationalization does not affect Poland´s sovereign debt rating.

In 1999, Poland privatized its pension funds partially. The big part of the pension scheme is based on bond holdings. Now, the privately managed pension funds will be transferred back to the public social security system. The participation in the private pension scheme is optional.
