OMV to Sell Petrol Stations to Slovak Slovnaft

The Austrian oil and gas group OMV has already announced its downsizing strategy in the petrol station business. Slovnaft, a Slovak subsidiary of the Hungarian MOL, shows interest.

The OMV plans to sell 220 petrol station in the Czech Republic. The reason: OMV needs € 1.0bn until 2014 in order to strengthen the gas business. The new company strategy promotes the expansion of this company segment. However, OMV did not arrive to a final decision yet.
