OMV Raises Oil Production in Libya

The Austrian oil and gas company OMV receives already about 50% of the pre-war volume. However, a full recovery will need another twelve months.

When the war against Libya began in February 2011, the oil production of OMV declined drastically. The company had to withdraw its staff immediately, the exploitation came to a sudden break-down.
Now, the production reached about 50% of the pre-war level, OMV´s CEO Gerhard Roiss says. Roiss expects that twelve to fifteen months are needed in order to regain the full production…
