After the exit of a U.S. fund, investor Ronny Pecik might acquire a substantial stake in the Austrian telecommunication group.

Apart from the corruption affair Telekom Austria has to deal with new trouble now. According to media reports, Ronny Pecik intends to purchase a major stake in the company together with a group of Egyptian investors. This would make him the second largest shareholder in Telekom Austria after the Austrian state which currently owns a stake of 28.4% through ÖIAG.
