During the past financial year, which was marked by difficult labor market conditions, Manpower and Manpower Professional Austria recorded a strong growth: the revenue of the world's leading recruitment services provider's subsidiary amounted to € 129.7 m (Manpower € 124.4m and Manpower Professional € 5, 3m), representing a yearly increase of 54% and a market share growth from 3.5% to 4.5%.

"Despite severe fluctuations on the domestic labor market, 2010 was a boom year for us, exceeding our expectations and even those of the analysts", said Manpower and Manpower Professional Austria's manager Eric Pichorner.

Manpower and Manpower Professional employed an average of 2,300 people in the previous year, and this figure increased to an average of 3,400 employees (with a maximum of 3,900) in 2010.

"Temporary employment remains the strongest growth driver: almost 89% of our revenues have been generated with the placement of temporary workers. However, our strategy of comprehensive personnel services also proves us right in other business areas: 11% of sales are derived from our broad range of HR services such as assessments, training, payrolls, advertising services and recruitment", said Pichorner.

The future strategic direction of Manpower Austria focuses on Innovative Workforce Solutions and Manpower Professional.
