Lithuania: Turnover of Enterprises in Retail Increased By 0.9 %

In February 2013, against February 2012, the turnover of enterprises engaged in wholesale and retail trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles was on the increase.

Statistics Lithuania, on the basis of provisional data, informs that in February 2013, the turnover (VAT excluded) of enterprises engaged in wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles amounted to LTL 584.2 million and, against January 2012, increased by 0.9 per cent at constant prices. The largest increase was observed in trade in lorries, trailers and semi-trailers, camping vehicles (by 15.4 per cent).

Over the year (February 2013, against February 2012), the turnover (VAT excluded) of enterprises engaged in wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles increased by 11 per cent at constant prices. The largest increase was observed in sale of cars and light motor vehicles (by 15.4 per cent) and in the turnover of enterprises engaged in maintenance and repair of motor vehicles (18.1 per cent).
