Kärntner Sparkasse Finalized Withdrawal from Italy
The Carinthian bank will close its operating business in Italy. The branches have been overtaken by the South Tyrolean “Südtiroler Sparkasse”.

An agreement for the sale of the Italian branches of Kärnter Sparkasse already has been signed.
In 2005, when Kärntner Sparkasse expanded to Italy, the bank wanted to act as alternative financial service provider for disappointed customers of major banks. After four years, the Carinthian bank group expected to realized profits. However, these plans did not work.
