Increasing Equity Quotas of Austrian SME
The average equity quota of Austrian SME in 2009/2010 was 28%. This is an improvement against the previous years. However, 30% of SMEs are overindebted.

KMU Forschung Austria (SME Research) published a study based on the analysis of 67.000 balance sheets.
Small and medium enterprises in Austria registered an average equity quota of 28% in 2009/10, which is obviously beyond the recommended minimum quota of 20%. Compared to the quota of 2008/09, the number could improve further.
