Estimated 270,000 Austrian households are currently facing financial difficulties and are not able to serve credit sufficiently.

The third creditor protection association besides the KSV and Credit Reform, the AKV (Alpenländischer Kreditorenverband, Creditors Association from Alpenland) has presented its insolvency statistics for 2010. In general terms, it shows a contrary picture concerning personal insolvencies and company insolvencies.
