After the emergency sitting in the National Assembley, which was demanded by the opposition parties and took place yesterday, the Austrian government refused to answer questions to the press and the public.

Despite the currently very explosive issue about the bankruptcy of problem bank Hypo Group Alpe Adria the government refused to answer questions to the press today. Werner Faymann was represented by Minister of Defense Gerald Klug who announced that the Chancellor’s appearance at the press foyer will be “situational flexible” from now on.
