The biggest Austrian opposition party suggests reducing public expenditures in order to reduce the budget deficit. Chairman Strache calls for a “subsidy brake”.

The opposition party FPÖ asks for a cut in public spending. FPÖ´s chairman Heinz-Christian Strache emphasized to analyze and evaluated all subsidies granted by the state. Especially agricultural subsidies have to be considered, Strache said. In order to prevent abuse of public funds, the chairman of FPÖ suggests creating a transparency-data base.
