After the sluggish capital increase of UniCredit, experts do not exclude a sale of Bank Austria, which operates the CEE business.

Currently, UniCredit is trying to raise its capital by € 7.5bn in order to fulfill capital requirements set by the European Bank Authority. Banks have to reach a 9.0% core capital ratio by June 2012.
