For cost reasons, the U.S. soft drink producer shifts production from Vienna to Burgenland. 80 employees will be laid off.

At the end of August, Coca Cola´s production shifts entirely away from Vienna. The U.S.-company has produced the soft drink in Vienna for 55 years. Due to cost reasons, manufacturing and storing will take place in Edelstal, Burgenland. At this site, the Austrian subsidiary of Coca Cola, Römerquelle, has its headquarter.
