77,000 jobs were created by trades and crafts in the last eight years. The manufacturing industry lost 17,000.

According to the employment statistics of the Economic Chamber, trades and crafts remained by far as the largest employer in 2010 with 619,785 persons. In second place is trade (460,222) and in third the manufacturing industry (415,647).
