Austrian investors have increased their direct investments in foreign countries by eleven percent to a total of € 145.5bn while FDIs in Austria remain unchanged at € 118.3bn.

The globalization will continue to proceed, according to Chief Statistican of the Austrian National Bank (OeNB) Johannes Turner. However, the start of an investment boom seems unlikely.
