Austria´s Finance Minister Maria Fekter expects a higher tax intake in 2013. Next year, the tax quota will grow slightly to 43%. In order to prevent further expenses, Fekter rejects creating bad banks.

Although Maria Fekter has reaffirmed her willingness to implement a tax reform, the tax burden is growing persistently. After a tax quota of 42%, the tax burden will grow by one percentage point. Despite that, the budget deficit is expected to reach 2.3%. Initially, a budget deficit of 2.1% was planned. On average, the budget deficit in the Eurozone comes at 2.9% of GDP.
