Slight increase of consumer price inflation in October 2012: +2.8% (HICP +2.9%).

The annual inflation rate of the consumer price index measured by Statistics Austria was 2.8% in October (September 2.7%, August 2.2%). The main upward pressure came from "housing, water and energy" (+3.0%). Fuel (+7.9%), food (+3.1%) and prices in "restaurants" (+3,7%) also led to a moderately rising annual rate of change. The all item index (CPI 2010) stood at 106.9 in October.…
