Austrian Health Insurance Funds Achieved Surplus

For the first time, all nine Austrian health insurance funds recorded positive result. In total, a surplus of € 291m was achieved.

Last year, the public health insurance segment could reach positive results again. For the first time, all nine provincial funds recorded a surplus. Nevertheless, the Austrian health insurance funds did not surpass the record result of 2010. Two years ago, the insurance funds attained a surplus of € 363m. Last year, the surplus amounted to € 240m.
