Austrian FDI Recovered Slightly in 2009

The value of Austrian investments abroad grew by 6% in 2009 and amounted to € 113bn. Companies still felt the impact of the crisis on their profits.

In 2009, Austrian direct investments abroad recovered from the crisis although the profit situation and the employment development of the investing companies remained weak. This is the main result of the direct investment survey presented by the Austrian National Bank (OeNB) on Tuesday.
