For two years Austrians have abstained from investing in Eastern Europe, resulting in a loss of market share in these countries. Interest starts to recover now.

The financial crisis and the criticism on Austria’s high activities in Eastern Europe have obviously left their marks. Until now, Austrian companies have been very careful with investments in the region. According to Oesterreichische Kontrollbank (OeKB), a recovery is coming into sight soon.
