Austrian Airlines Goes Into Hibernation
The worsening Covid-19 situation in Europe also affects Austrian Airlines and its success in the upcoming winter months. After a summer which was better than most forecasts had predicted, the current rise of Covid-19 cases means a reduction in demand for flights in the near future.

Due to the rising numbers of Covid-19 infections on the whole European continent, Austrian Airlines have adapted their plans for the upcoming winter months once again.
After the outbreak of Covid-19 in Europe in March, the management of the airline adjusted their plans for the future and also asked for aid from the federal government.
