Together with Germany, Slovakia and Bulgaria, Austria wants to implement a common transport strategy for the Danube.

Until 2050, goods traffic will increase by 80% and personnel traffic is expected to grow by 50%. „Now, we have to take the right decisions.“ Alexander Klacska at WKO (Austrian Chamber of Commerce) said on the occasion of talks with Members of the European Parliament. Together, the countries want to implement an „optimal strategy for the Danube region“.
