Austria: Inflation Down to 1.7 Percent

In September the inflation rate dropped to 1.7 percent which is the lowest value since August 2010.

Compared to August 2013, where the inflation rate was 1.8 percent, it only means a slight decrease. Without cheap fuel the inflation rate would have come at 2.0 percent as price increases were particularly high with heating oil (5.5 percent) and rents (3.0 percent).
