Austria: Foreign Trade Grows Only Decently

January to August 2012: trade with third countries accounts for overall growth.

According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to € 87.18 bn and total exports amounted to € 81.80 bn in the period January to August 2012. Austrian imports increased by 1.4% and Austrian exports rose by 2.3% compared to the same period in 2011. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of €5.38 bn.
