Moderate Rise in Austrian Bilateral Trade with Italy

In 2011, Austrian exports to Italy went up by 8.6% to € 9.3bn. After Germany, Italy is Austria´s second largest trade partner.

In spite of a low economic growth and a critical financial situation, the bilateral trade volume with Italy grew in 2011. Austrian exports grew by 8.6% and reached almost the pre-crisis level of € 10.0bn. Last year, the value of exported goods reached € 9.3bn.
