Former BAWAG CEO Helmut Elsner filed a lawsuit over $ 1.8bn against members of the Austrian Social Democrat party (SPÖ).

Elsner filed a claim for damages of more than $ 1.8bn against well known members like social minister Rudolf Hundstorfer, head of Austrian Trade Union Federation Erich Foglar, head of National Bank of Austria Ewald Nowotny and head of Volksbank Stephan Koren.
