Austria Confirms Top Ranking in EU Unemployment Statistics

The Austrian unemployment rate continued to decline in July. It dropped to 3.7% from 3.9% in June.

Austria remains the EU member country with the lowest rate of unemployment. According to Eurostat, the Austrian unemployment rate stood at 3.7% (seasonally adjusted) at the end of July (after 3.9% in June). The average rate for the EU and the euro zone countries remained stable compared to the previous month at 9.50% and 10.0%, respectively.
