Further Decline in Unemployment Rate

Compared to May 2010, the number of unemployed persons decreased by 2.5%. In April, Austria recorded the lowest rate among all EU countries.

The continuing economic boom has caused a favorable development of the Austrian unemployment rate in May. 221,369 persons were registered as unemployed, which is a decrease by 2.5%.
