Because of the high number of mergers, the number of branch shops of Raiffeisen Group is dropping. However, the Austrian lender still has a market share of 43 percent.

The number of Raiffeisen‘s branch shops in Austria has been decreasing in the past years. As per the end of 2013 there were 490 subsidiaries, while in 2012 it was 494, and 1,646 bank branches (2012: 1,671). Together with the provincial headquarters and specialist subsidiaries Raiffeisen Group has a market share of around 43 percent of all Austrian bank branches.
