AMSC Cuts Jobs in Austria

The Amercian Superconductor Corporation (AMSC) decided to cut 150 jobs at its subsidiary Windtec. In Austria, 40 positions are concerned.

AMSC, which is headquartered in Massachusetts (USA), downsizes the Austrian subsidiary Windtec. In Austria, 40 of the 160 collaborators at the business location Klagenfurt (Carinthia) are being dismissed.

According to Windtech, heavy suspicions of espionage exist. The company fears an illegal transfer of know-how to China. A lawsuit has already been filed.
