Alpine: Biggest Bankruptcy in Austrian History

Bankrupt-gone construction company Alpine operates at 1,400 construction sites and is supposed to complete orders in the amount of € 800m. The shutting down of the enterprise has been decided.

The closing request of bankrupt Alpine was handed in on Monday, head of Creditreform Gerhard Weinhofer announced. It is the biggest bankruptcy in the history of the country.

According to the trade union of the sector construction and wood (GBH), the company has € 2.3bn in liabilites, 4,900 employees and operates on 1,400 construction sites and 400 working groups in Austria…
