Regarding the next quarters, CEO Wolfgang Eder is slightly optimistic. Steel demand will remain stable, he says.

At the moment, voestalpine´s capacity utilization comes at 95%. This level will be maintained, Eder says. According to him, voestalpine´s situation is not comparable with the situation of other steel companies. Due to the economic development, many European steel factories will be shut down in the next months.
