Mayor Michael Ludwig met German Vice Chancellor and Minister of Finance Olaf Scholz for a working meeting at the Vienna Rathaus.
Scholz is currently on an official visit to Austria. Topics of the discussion were the economic relations between Germany and Vienna as well as municipal issues such as affordable housing and the role of cities in Europe.
Ludwig and Scholz also exchanged views on Ludwig's demand for an EU-wide rescue package for municipalities to cope with the current challenges posed by Covid-19. …
