Speculations about Verbund’s future investment portfolio continue. According to a report by the Italian newspaper “Il Sole 24 Ore”, the Austrian electricity provider might acquire a stake from the industrial holding CIR to become the sole shareholder in their common joint venture Sorgenia. Verbund currently holds a 45% stake in the Italian company.
