Stable labour market in the second quarter 2010; more men and less women were employed than in the second quarter 2009.

According to Statistics Austria, the number of people in employment amounted to a total of 4,081 million in the second quarter of 2010 and thus remained at the same level as in the second quarter of 2009.

As in the first quarter, the number of self-employed increased (+15 600) whereas the number of employees decreased (-14,900).
