According to the German magazine “Der Spiegel”, the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is considered as favorite candidate for the next President of the EU Commission.

The conservative European People´s Party (EPP) supports Tusk to become the successor of José Manuel Barroso. After two terms in office, Barroso will resign as head of the Commission in 2014.
