The system of the common currency has failed to work, but is still kept alive artificially. The euro brings enormous difficulties to stronger as well as weaker European economies.

Not only for Greece, Spain, Portugal or Italy, the euro is not a suitable currency. Also for the stronger economies of Germany, Austria or the Netherlands, the euro proved problematic.
