Telekom Austria might still succeed in Serbia with an alternative solution. The mobile subsidiary would have to be handed over.

The Serbian government has been trying to solve the controversy surrounding the sale of its 51% stake in Telekom Srbija for weeks. Officially, the deadline for Telekom Austria (TA) to improve its bid as the required minimum price of € 1.4bn was not met still runs. The end of the period was established for May 3. The first offer of TA amounted to € 950m.
