Almost all sectors recorded sales growth, but not all businesses benefited from the boom: "Sales growth is not equal to profit growth".

The Austrian retail business generated a nominal sales growth of 2.7% (real +1.2%) in 2010, compared with 2009. "The growth in sales lay well above that of past years.
