Second quarter 2012 compared with second quarter 2011: Euro area hourly labour costs rose by 1.6% and by 1.8% in EU27.

Hourly labour costs1 in the euro area (EA17) rose by 1.6% in the year up to the second quarter of 2012, compared with 1.5% for the first quarter of 2012. In the EU27, the annual rise was 1.8% up to the second quarter of 2012, compared with 1.4% for the previous quarter.
