At the end of August 2012, 289,000 persons were looking for a job in Austria. At the same time, employment still grows.

Today, the Ministry of Social Affairs published the labor market statistics for August. Both employment and unemployment increased against August 2011. Austria´s unemployment quota was up to 6.2% (according to national calculation standards).
Last month, 232,661 persons were officially unemployed (+6.1%). The number of trainees was up by 4.3% to 56,562. In total, 289,223 persons…
