Strong Growth for Exports to USA in 2012

This year, Austrian exports to the U.S. will reach the level of 2008. The export volume will amount to € 6.0bn this year.

In the first six months of 2011, Austrian exports to the U.S. rose by 34%. This high growth should continue until the end of the year. All in all, the export volume should amount to € 6.0bn. By contrast, the U.S. exported goods worth about € 3.0bn. The trade surplus is thus € 3.0bn.

Thus, exports rise again, after 2010 already showed a strong increase. The level of 2008…
