Strabag Bores New Tunnel in Canada

The Austrian construction group won a € 200m contract for a wastewater tunnel in the Greater Toronto Area. It is a follow-up order after completion of tunneling below Niagara Falls.

Just a few weeks after celebrating the breakthrough of a 10-kilometer tunnel beneath Niagara Falls in Ontario, Strabag announced that it was awarded a new tunneling contract in Canada: the group’s subsidiary Strabag Inc. will build a 15-kilometer wastewater tunnel in the Regional Municipality of York, in the Greater Toronto Area, for CAD 290m (about € 200m).
