Slovenia: „Irish or Greek Way“

The Slovenian economist Egon Zakrajsek explains that Slovenia´s illiquidity only a question of time. The problem banks should be sold, he recommends.

In an interview with the Austrian newspaper “Standard”, Zakrajsek stated that Slovenia will have to be rescued by the safety net in a few months. By contrast, the Slovenian Ministry of Finance emphasizes that the country is still able to manage the crisis on its own.
