Skepticism in Austria: Majority Rejects EU Enlargement
A recent Eurobarometer survey reveals clear opposition to EU enlargement in Austria. While a majority of EU citizens are positive about further accession candidates, there is remarkable skepticism in Austria. With only 45 percent in favor, Austrians are among the lowest in Europe.

The results of the survey, which served as the basis for discussions among EU European Affairs Ministers in Copenhagen, reflect growing concern and frustration.
