Serbia: External Debt Growing Due to Euro Revaluation

Up by € 746.4m or 3.1% from end-June 2012, external debt of the Republic of Serbia totalled € 24.8bn at end-September 2012.

The apreciation of the euro against other currencies of debt denomination moderated the growth in debt, cutting it down by € 120.3m. External debt of the public sector fell by € 88.0m, while that of the private sector increased by € 834.4m.
